Allegedly Drunken Driver Blamed For Rotary Crash

The following information was supplied by Westborough Police. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

An allegedly drunken driver went through -- not around -- the Westborough rotary and struck another vehicle head-on Thursday night, Westborough Police Chief Alan Gordon said Friday.

No injuries were reported in the 10:10 p.m. crash, Gordon said.

Police arrested Jessica T. Hancock, 41, of 55 Baker St., Westwood, and charged her with operating under the influence of liquor, and going the wrong way around the rotary, according to the Westborough Police log.

Hancock was driving east on West Main Street when she went straight through the rotary, striking a vehicle headed west on East Main Street, Gordon said.

Hancock faces arraignment Friday in Westborough District Court.
