Men Caught in Westborough with iPads, Fraudlent Credit Cards

A 21-year-old Cranston man is one of two people arrested in Westborough after he was caught with 54 new credit cards in other people's names in a rental car with a slew of new iPads.

Police said they got a call from Staples reporting two men were making suspicious purchases with questionable cards.

Police found the men next door at a fast food restaurant.

They're identified as Davis Valverde, 21, of 25 Frances Ave., Cranston; and Ivannieris Mejias, 22, of 50 Atlantic Ave., Providence.

Police said the men were sitting in a rented Dodge Charger and had 54 credit cards, six iPads and an iPad in the car. 

Both are facing charges of improper use of a credit card, felony receiving stolen property, felony larceny, forgery and uttering a false document.

Both men were arraigned and released on bail in Westborough District Court and will return for a hearing on May 22.
