In Court: MBTA Station Bandit Sentenced

Monday, July 16

Robert S. Falvey, 51, of 17 Brigham St., #4, Westborough, was arrested July 13 by Westborough police and charged with assault and battery. Bail was set at $500. He is scheduled to return to court Aug. 13.

Brian R. Ford, 43, of 17 Chandler St., #1, Worcester, was sentenced to 60 days in the Worcester County House of Correction, with credit for 30 days served, on a larceny under $250 charge. He received another 60 day-sentence, concurrent with the first, on a second larceny under $250 charge. Westborough police arrested Ford at the MBTA station on June 7, after receiving a call for a breaking and entering in progress. Police said they saw Ford sitting on a bench at the station, with plastic shopping bags. According to police reports, Ford had a GPS and its power cord, screw drivers, a flat bar, and vice grips. His hands were reportedly bleeding from the knuckles. Ford told police he broke into a car by breaking the window with a hammer.

Ford pleaded guilty to a breaking and entering for a misdemeanor charge, which was filed. A malicious destruction of property over $250 was dismissed.

Michael Gonzalez, 18, of 27 Beach St., Apt. F, Marlborough, was arrested July 14, and charged with disorderly conduct. Westborough police arrested Gonzalez after responding to the train station for unruly passengers. Police said he acted in an aggressive and disorderly manner.

Wednesday, July 18

Salvadore Salcedo-Navarro, 55, of 14 Grove St., Apt. 4, Westborough, was charged on April 19 by Westborough police with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. Judge Robert Calgione dismissed the unlicensed charge if Salcedo-Navarro pays $700 in court fees. He found Salcedo-Navarro not responsible on the remaining charge.

Irine Powell, 23, of 4 Pinehurst Ave., Auburn, was charged by Westborough police on Feb. 21 with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, operating an unlicensed motor vehicle and speeding. Calagione found Powell responsible for the suspended registration charge and ordered her to pay $100. Judge Calagione dismissed the uninsured charge and ordered her to pay $100. Judge Calagione found her responsible for the remaining charges and ordered her to pay $100.

Erica S. Santos, 34, of 53 Inman St., Hopedale, was charged by Westborough police on April 23 with speeding and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. Calagione found Santos responsible and ordered her to pay $210. The remaining charge was dismissed if Santos pays $700.

Matthew M. Cousens, 29, of 309 Bridle Path, Worcester, was arrested by Westborough police on May 29 and charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration. Calagione dismissed the charges and ordered him to pay $200.

Ryan P. McGann, 28, of 4221 Homestead Blvd., Westborough, was charged by Westborough police on April 11 with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and two counts of a motor vehicle lights violation. The first charge was dismissed if he pays $200 and Calagione found McGann not responsible on the remaining charges.

Christopher Chiras, 36, 61 Sandra Dr., Worcester, was summonsed to Westborough District Court when Westborough police filled out a complaint charging Chiras with making annoying phone calls and harassment. Chiras pled guilty and was sentenced by Judge Calagione to three months in the House of Correction (suspended), and two years probation to be served at the end of the sentence he is presently serving. Chiras was also sentenced to six months in the House of Correction (suspended) for harassment, and two years probation.
