Hang Up on This "Tech Support" Call
Westborough Police are alerting residents to a scam.
An alleged Microsoft tech support team member has called Westborough residents and claimed to detect a virus on their computers, Westborough Police said Tuesday.
Don't bite, as it's a scam, police said on their Facebook page.
Residents have complained to police about the caller, who has requested remote access to their computer, toward fixing it, police said.
