Logs: Drug Charges for Juvenile, Wires Fall on Car

The following information was obtained from the logs of the Westborough police and fire departments and scanner reports. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

 

Here are excerpts from the Westborough police and fire logs. Please note that this is a sampling of activity in the log, not a complete account. We report all arrests; other than that, we pick out incidents you might find interesting.

Friday, Feb. 17

1:05 a.m.: A crash was reported at the intersection of Turnpike Road and Lyman Street. Officer Paul Pinto assisted at the scene.

8:50 a.m.: Westborough firefighters investigated a carbon monoxide alarm at the Forbes Municipal Building on West Main Street.

9:06 a.m.: A crash was reported on Turnpike Road. Officer Caleb Polseno, Officer Clifford Luce and Sgt. Todd Rossi helped at the location. A field interrogation report was filed.

11:10 a.m.: Westborough firefighters investigated a carbon monoxide alarm on Samuel Harrington Road. Officer Caleb Polseno and Officer Clifford Luce also responded. The alarm was found to be faulty.

11:47 a.m.: Vandalism into a car at the YMCA on Valente Drive was reported. Officer Caleb Polseno and Officer Clifford Luce assisted with the report. A field interrogation report was filed.

11:48 a.m.: A fire alarm sounded on Willow Street. Westborough firefighters reported that the alarm was caused by a worker using a saw in the attic. Sgt. Todd Rossi helped during the investigation.

1:20 p.m.: Officers Brian Massey and Jeffrey Johnson investigated a report of a woman sitting in the median on Route 9 near Fountainhead. No one fitting that description was found.

1:51 p.m.: An ambulance was requested at Westborough Tennis and Swim Club for an elderly woman who reportedly suffered a laceration on her leg after falling from a treadmill. She was taken to the hospital. Officer Brian Massey and Jeffrey Johnson joined Westborough paramedics at the club.

4:26 p.m.: A woman was taken to the hospital by Westborough paramedics after she reportedly became ill at the YMCA on Valente Drive.

6:33 p.m.: Officer Tyson Delong investigated a reported crash on East Main Street.

7:52 p.m.: Officer Tyson Delong responded to a report that a patient at the Spectrum facility on Oak Street felt she was being stalked by a man in a minivan. A description of the man and his vehicle was provided to Delong. No one fitting that description was found.

8:13 p.m.: Westborough paramedics responded to a report of a child with gastritis on Computer Drive. Officer Tyson Delong assisted.

9:39 p.m.: Officer Richard Trainor, Officer Leeanne Baker and Sgt. Peter Goodney helped to take a person into protective custody for drunkenness. The request for an officer came from Robin Road.

10:30 p.m.: Officers Leeanne Baker, Richard Trainor, Tyson Delong and Sgt. Peter Goodney responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Nash Street. A field interrogation report was filed.

Saturday, Feb. 18

2:36 a.m.: Officers Christopher Atchue, Tyson Delong and Sgt. Todd Rossi assisted with a traffic incident at the intersection of Turnpike Road and Otis Street. ARRESTED: Keisha Marie Dial, 21, 641 Oakwood Ave., Columbus, OH. CHARGES: Driving the wrong way on a state highway, operating a motor vehicle without a license and operating a motor vehicle negligently so as to endanger.

5:49 a.m.: An ambulance was requested on Orchard Hill Road. Officer Tyson Delong and Westborough paramedics helped at the residence. A patient was taken to the hospital.

10:32 a.m.: Officer Christopher Atchue and Westborough paramedics responded to a request for emergency medical services on Beach Street. A patient was taken to the hospital.

11:35 a.m.: Shoplifting was reported on Turnpike Road. Officers Clifford Luce and Caleb Polseno investigated. A field interrogation report was filed.

1:21 p.m.: Harassing phone calls were reported on Beach Street. Officers Clifford Luce and Calem Polseno responded. A field interrogation report was filed.

5:02 p.m.: An ambulance was requested on Computer Drive. Westborough paramedics and Officer Gregory McRae assisted. A patient was taken to the hospital.

9:45 p.m.: Sgt. Peter Goodney and Officers Gregory McRae and Jeffrey Keaveney investigated a reported domestic incident on Mayberry Drive. A field interrogation report was filed.

10:11 p.m.: Officers Gregory McRae and Jeffrey Johnson responded to a traffic incident on Willow Street. ARRESTED: A 16-year-old male. Name is not public because he is a minor. CHARGES: Distribution of a Class D drug.

11:19 p.m.: A crash was reported on Turnpike Road. Officers Jeffrey Johnson and Jeffrey Keaveney assisted.

Sunday, Feb. 19

10:54 a.m.: An ambulance was requested on Old Colony Drive. Westborough paramedics and Officer Gregory McRae helped at the residence. A patient was taken to the hospital.

7:48 p.m.: A hit and run crash was reported in the parking lot of JP’s Restaurant on Milk Street. Officers Jeffrey Keaveney and Joshua Croft investigated. A field interrogation report was filed.

8:57 p.m.: Officers Michael Daniels and Laura Grasso responded to a traffic incident on Turnpike Road. ARRESTED: Kleyton Martins-Dasilva, 22, 20 Eames St., Apt. 12, Framingham. CHARGES: Unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speeding.

Monday, Feb. 20

1:02 a.m.: Emergency medical services were requested on South Street. Westborough paramedics and Officer Dean Paine assisted. A patient was taken to the hospital.

7:09 a.m.: Officers Paul Pinto and Christopher Atchue helped with a traffic incident on Oak Street. ARRESTED: Eric A. Goodwin, 36, 90 Vale St., Worcester. CHARGES: Operating after license or right to operate suspended.

10:59 a.m.: Officer Terry Peters investigated a report that a telephone box was opened and the wires exposed at the intersection of Eli Whitney and West Main streets. The caller reported that it seemed suspicious because no company was doing work in the area.

11:18 a.m.: An ambulance was requested at the Spectrum facility on Oak Street for a patient having an asthma attack. Westborough paramedics and Officer Terry Peters responded. The patient was taken to the hospital.

11:30 a.m.: An ambulance was requested on Lyman Street and a patient was taken to the hospital.

3:05 p.m.: A woman called the police because wires fell on her car as she was driving on South Street near Baxter Street. She was reportedly afraid to move because she wasn’t sure if the wires were live. Westborough officers were sent to the scene to divert traffic while the situation was investigated. It was discovered that the wires were not dangerous because they were TV wires.

4:14 p.m.: A larceny of a bicycle was reported on Homestead Boulevard. Officer Joshua Croft investigated. A field interrogation report was filed.

8:49 p.m.: An ambulance was requested on Beach Street. Officer Michael Daniels and Westborough paramedics responded.
