Westborough Police officers were called to an early morning accident today that left one man with “serious head injuries,” according to a report.

At around 2:30 a.m. on June 19, a Westborough man driving a 2000 Toyota Corolla, allegedly at a high rate of speed, crashed into a tree at 232 West Main St.

The man, Ryan Flory, 24, sustained serious head injuries, according to Police Chief Alan Gordon, and was transported to UMass Medical Center.

Officers investigating the scene of the accident allege that Flory was “traveling east at a high rate of speed” and “lost control of the vehicle on the slight curve at Adams St.” The vehicle then struck a tree on the driver’s side of the vehicle, according to police.

The crash is still be investigated by police, according to Gordon.

According to a post on Patch, Flory was arrested two years ago on a drunk driving charge, after an early morning crash into a wall and a tree on Olde Coach Road.
