Alleged Deadbeat Dad Now Faces Oct. 24 Pre-Trial Hearing

A former Westborough man who allegedly owes child support exceeding $65,000 had his pre-trial hearing continued on Friday.
Robert Norton's next court date is Oct. 24, according to the Westborough District Court clerk magistrate's office.
Norton, 52, was arraigned last month. Court records list Norton's address as 14 Nash St., Westborough, but also state he most recently lived in Florida.
Norton has been charged with abandoning a child without support, leaving the Commonwealth, and failure to comply with a support order.
Norton "owes child support in excess of $65,000 in Massachusetts" and left Massachusetts and moved to Florida, court records show.
