Letter to the Editor: Library Trustees Thank Citizens

A number of people and groups have improved patrons' library experience.

To the Editor:

At this season of the year when thankfulness and gratitude prevail, the trustees of the Westborough Public Library extend their appreciation to several citizens whose recent efforts have improved the library experience for the town.

Garden Club members and other hard workers, including Beverly Linnane, Nancy De Wolfe, Lisa Carlson, Ann Matson, Maureen Johnson, Kris Allen, Bill Linnane and Earl Storey, have enhanced the appearance of the front lawn of the library with new shrubbery and plants. Assistance was provided by Storey Landscaping when it came time to dig and plant. Library employees have watered the new plants faithfully.

The Friends of the Library have been kind and generous as well, donating many of the 23 museum passes available to library card holders. New England Patriots fans and football lovers have been able to borrow a pass to the Hall at Patriots Place in Foxborough. Others have headed north to the DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln.

Finally, the trustees and staff are grateful for the patience of patrons as we look forward to the completion of the HVAC system renovation, promising a cozy winter at the library, as well as a cool summer in 2013. The project is on track and full use of the facility will be available by early December.
