Westborough Remembers Paul Harnett

He was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church in Westborough.

Paul T. Harnett, 86, formerly of Westborough, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014 at Epoch of Norton. He was the husband of the late Lillian (Cunningham) Harnett, who died in 2006.

Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Booth) Harnett, and was a graduate of Durfee High School in Fall River.

During World War II, he served as a seaman, second-class, with the U.S. Navy.

Paul retired from National Grid and predecessor companies in 1993 after a long career in management of electric utility operations.

He was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church in Westborough, and was an avid pilot.

Paul is survived by one son, Kevin F. Harnett and his wife Christine of South Easton; and two granddaughters, McKenzie Harnett and Madison Harnett.

He was the father of the late Paul Douglas Harnett, and brother of the late William Harnett.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the Britton-Summers Funeral Home, 4 Church St., Westborough, on Thursday, January 30, from 5 to 8 p.m. A private funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Luke the Evangelist Church in Westborough. Burial will be private.
