Community Remembers Patricia Johnson

Patricia L. Johnson, 76, of Salem, passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 at her son and daughter-in-laws home.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Foster and Mona (Blakeney) Johnson. She was raised and educated in Beverly, and was a 1955 graduate of Beverly High School.

Patricia was employed as a bookkeeper for Mayer Tree Service in Essex for many years prior to her illness. She also was a flea market antiques dealer.

Patricia is survived by one son, Eric B. Johnson and his wife Tawnya (MacKenzie) Johnson of Westborough; one brother, Ralph Johnson and his life partner Paula Carroll of Marblehead; three sisters, Shirley Lawless and her husband Joseph of Beverly, Wendy George and her husband Stephen of Abington and Gail Durkee and her husband Wade of Beverly; a sister-in-law, Thelma Johnson of Beverly and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves her devoted cat, Figaro and grand cat, Pebbles.

She was the sister of the late Carol Adams and sister-in-law of the late Charles Adams.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to all those who helped care for Patricia during her battle with cancer.

Services and interment will be private.
