Dean M. Burgess, 51, of Rabbit Run, Westerly, R.I., passed away on Oct. 20, 2013.
Born in Brighton, Mass., he was a son of Agnes Burgess of Westborough, and the late Francis Burgess.
He will be sadly missed by his siblings, Paul Burgess of Worcester, Robert Burgess and his wife Sandy of Westborough, and Mary Lane and her husband Dave of Townsend Dean was predeceased by a sister, Donna Fay.
When Dean graduated, the ocean called and he decided that Westerly would be his permanent home. Dean worked as a pumber for Sam Bliven Plumbing & Heating. He was a longtime member of the Winnapaug Country Club, and a member of the Thursday Night League. He enjoyed fishing, surfing and going to the beach. Dean was a passionate fan of Boston sports teams. He was rich with family and friendships.
There are no visiting hours. Relatives and friends were invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Pius X Church, 44 Elm St., Westerly on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 10 a.m. Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
