Community Gets Taste of New Seniors Group

The Westborough Senior Center Supporters shared information about their new group, which formed this fall, during their "Slice of Pie Social."

Visitors to the Westborough Senior Center on Friday got a taste of a new group supporting activities there, over a slice of pie.

The Westborough Senior Center Supporters shared information about their new group, which formed this fall, during their "Slice of Pie Social."

The organization has replaced the Friends of the Westborough Senior Center.

"We imagine that we're going to be doing just about everything different," said Marie Young, who is co-chairing the Senior Center Supporters with Kathe Ware.

The group will hold a fall fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 7, Young said.

The event will "consist of many things that previous fairs have not," such as gift baskets, more raffles, and handmade shawls, she said.

The group had 146 members as of Friday, Young said.
