32 Dogs Get Baths

The event raised $556 for the Travis Fund.

Tufts veterinary students gave 32 dogs baths on Sunday.

The dog wash run by SCAVMA students at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in Grafton, near the Westborough line, charged $8 for a bath, $5 for a nail trim, $5 for an ear wash, and $15 for a package deal.

The event raised $556 for the Travis Fund, said Simone Palladino, a second-year vet student, and SCAVMA social chairs. The SCAVMA social and community service chairs organized the fundraiser, she said.

"The fund provides financial assistance for the care of found animals and helps responsible owners cover the cost of unanticipated veterinary care," organizers say.
