Why Video?

My has been up about a year.  It’s a fun ride…sharing great places and warning about places that….well….get the Red Light.

In the course of doing these reviews, I’ve had the opportunity to meet some great restaurant owners.  One thing many have is a pride for what they do….and what they’ve created.  And they are also a great source for alternate restaurants to review (doing one review a week can be pressing).

I’ve never been confident my blog posts capture the excitement of a restaurant, or the pride of an owner.

What the next best thing to being there?  Those with gray hair may say a telephone…and perhaps a video is even better!

While taste-o-vision doesn’t exist, we’re aiming to take the viewer with us to a restaurant, visit with the owner, and get some behind the scenes in the kitchen.  Personally, the kitchen is where the magic happens, and we want to showcase the talents of the chefs in these properties.

As this is all new…we’re interested in any feedback.  We shot this first one with a single camera, with some interspersed still shots. Our next episode was just shot with two cameras, and stills.
