Karyn Koulopoulos is a multi-media artist with over 25 years of experience with many different art mediums. These include stained-glass, watercolor, jewelry fabrication, collage, perfume mixology, mural painting and special event props. Her creative adventure began at a very young age. Her passion to express all the pictures in her mind led her to experiment with many materials. Her educational journey began as a student at the Boston Museum School of Fine Arts. There she studied jewelry design, watercolor, and architectural stained-glass. Three years later she was off to Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland, where she continued her studies with architectural stained-glass, hot glass and Medieval glass restoration. After returning to the U.S. she began working at a local stained-glass studio. Shortly after that she worked in the event planning industry creating props for a Boston event planner for over twenty years. In 1999, Karyn returned to art school and began an illustration program at Rhode Island School of Design. In 2004 she graduated and began using her skills acquired at RISD for her botanical paintings and children's book design. Discovering the medium of collage and assemblage opened up a whole new world to Karyn. She has taught classes at many local venues. Her work has been exhibited in New York,
Boston, and California. Her collage and assemblage work has been published by Stampington and Cloth, Paper, Scissors.
