Ambassador Girl Scout Melanie Borglund will lead an animal awareness program at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at the Westborough Public Library.
Borglund is completing her Girl Scout Gold Award on helping children be aware of proper care and work with animals. She wrote and illustrated a booklet for children to be aware of what is proper care. The booklet will be available as reference at the library and local veterinary offices. After the reading of the new book, the children will complete craft activities to take home.
