Westborough selectmen have awarded the Forbes Municipal Building roof project for more than $100,000 less than the town allocated.
Selectmen voted Tuesday night to award the bid to Hartford Restoration Services Inc., the lowest bidder at $312,800, and authorized Town Manager Jim Malloy to execute any contracts.
The town had $415,000 available for the project, Malloy said.
The downtown building's roof will be repaired this summer, "which it needs to be. We had some good leaks over the winter," Malloy said.
