5 Things: Support WHS Athletics

Each morning, Westborough Patch presents “5 Things You Need to Know,” a collection of announcements, events, reminders and odd little ditties to help you organize your day. What will you be doing today?

1. GeoGenix and other leading energy firms in Massachusetts will host an energy conference for businesses and municipalities from 7:30 to 10 a.m. at the Double Tree Hotel, 5400 Computer Drive. The event will also entail a breakfast and two Q&A sessions.

2. Support Westborough High School athletics:

• JV golf at Hudson, at Stow Acres Country Club, 3 p.m.
• Varsity golf vs. Hudson, at Westborough Country Club, 3:15 p.m.
• Freshman field hockey vs. Nashoba, at WHS baseball field, 3:30 p.m.
• Freshman girls soccer vs. Hopkinton, at Gibbons Middle School softball field, 3:30 p.m.
• Freshman boys soccer vs. Hopkinton, at Gibbons Middle School, 3:30 p.m.
• JV girls soccer vs. Marlborough, at Mill Pond School, 3:30 p.m.
• Varsity girls soccer vs. Marlborough, at WHS, 3:30 p.m.
• Varsity boys soccer at Marlborough, at Kelleher Field, 4 p.m.
• JV boys soccer at Marlborough, at MHS, 4 p.m.

3. Mulligan's Taverne presents traditional Irish music hosted by Charlie O'Neill from 8 to 10 p.m. The kitchen is open until 9 p.m., and the bar is open until closing.

4. The Friends of the Westborough Public Library will hold mini book sales every week all summer long during the Westborough Farmers' Market, next door at the Congregational Church.

5. The Westborough Finance Committee meets at 7 p.m. at Westborough Town Hall.
