5 Things: Ready for the Weekend?

Here are some ideas.

Each morning, Westborough Patch presents “5 Things You Need to Know,” a collection of announcements, events, reminders and odd little ditties to help you organize your day. What will you be doing today?

1. Support Westborough High School athletics:

  • Freshman football at Algonquin, 5 p.m.
  • JV football at Algonquin, 7 p.m.
  • Varsity boys cross-country competes in Boys Varsity MIAA State Tournament, at North Field Mountain, 12:20 p.m. Saturday

2. Gibbons Middle School students perform "Alice in Wonderland" at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday.

3. Uno Chicago Grill is donating up to 20 percent of its sales to the YWCA Child Care Center, all day long, if guests bring the attached flier.

4. The American Chestnut Foundation and the Westborough Conservation Commission will be planting American chestnuts at Sandra Pond on Saturday. The rain date is Saturday, Nov. 24. The group will meet in the parking area on Bowman Street at 9:30 a.m.

5. The Friends of the Westborough Senior Center's annual Westborough Fall Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Westborough Senior Center.
