5 Things: Learn About the Ski Ward Race Team

Here are some of today's Westborough happenings.

Each morning, Westborough Patch presents “5 Things You Need to Know,” a collection of announcements, events, reminders and odd little ditties to help you organize your day. What will you be doing today?

1. Learn about the Ski Ward Race Team at its open house, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Boston Ski and Tennis, located in Bay State Commons.

  • Freshman boys soccer at North Middlesex, 4 p.m.
  • Freshman girls soccer at North Middlesex, 4 p.m.
  • Freshman field hockey at North Middlesex, 4 p.m.
  • JV field hockey vs. Fitchburg, at WHS, 5 p.m.
  • Varsity field hockey vs. Fitchburg, at WHS, 7 p.m.

3. And the Fales Elementary School has a Westborough Food Pantry Collection Day today.

4. Interested in volunteering in Westborough? Selectmen say these positions are vacant:

  • Conservation Commission: two non-voting associates
  • Country Club Operating Committee: one non-voting associate
  • Cultural Council: one non-voting associate
  • Historical Commission: two non-voting associates
  • Personnel Board: one member.

5. And the Westborough School Committee meets at 6 p.m. in the Forbes Municipal Building.
