Lydia Goldblatt to serve as Community Outreach Liaison for Care Solutions, Inc.

WESTBOROUGH _ Care, compassion, dedication and expertise are just some of the adjectives that describe the services and professionals at Care Solutions, Inc. This home health company headquartered in Westborough is locally owned by Kim Sieurin, RN, Founder/President and CEO. Recently the company hired Westborough’s own Lydia Goldblatt as its Community Outreach Liaison. Goldblatt mirrors the ideals and values of the company, according to Sieurin.

“We feel Lydia will really connect on a community level by getting us more involved in local organizations and activities,” said Sieurin. “Too often people don’t know that there are these types of options available and with Lydia’s assistance, we will be able to better share our services.”

Sieurin has been acquainted with Goldblatt for many years. She first met Goldblatt when she worked at Harry’s Restaurant, and then continued to follow her impressive public service career locally and nationally.

Goldblatt has served on the Westborough Board of Selectmen, both as a board member and as Chair of the Board, and has been on the Westborough School Committee for approximately 10 years. In addition, she was the Romney-Healy campaign’s Statewide Volunteer Coordinator in 2002 and 2003, and was Governor Mitt Romney’s Chair of the Civil Service Commission from 2004 - 2007.  She served as Deputy State Director of Constituent Services for Senator Scott Brown from 2009 - 2012.

“Lydia brings an incredible history of community service unlike anyone else,” Sieurin said. “She always has the best interest of the people she serves in mind, and she truly cares about everyone she meets. She is a valued addition to our staff.”

For Goldblatt, Care Solutions, Inc. offers a way for her to incorporate a love for her community with helping those in need of home health services.

“I am looking forward to using my background to help Care Solutions, Inc. become entrenched into the fabric of our community,” said Goldblatt. “It is a wonderful organization that provides important and necessary services.”

Care Solutions, Inc. offers three distinct areas of expertise in home health services. They include:

*Skilled nursing and services such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, social workers, and certified home health aides;

*Private duty that can range from 2 hours to 24 hours a day; and

 *A program called Robbie’s Place that offers an assisted living facility to help address some of the aftercare (and prevention) needs of people suffering from psychiatric disorders. Robbie’s Place was opened in the fall of 2006 and was the inspiration of Dr. Robbie Lacritz-Deitch Ph.D., and Sieurin.

Robbie’s Place is a unique program and is one of only two in the state. Robbie’s Place offers the amenities of assisted living, coupled with professional care that addresses the special needs of this population.

“This incredible program helps that population which seems to be forgotten and discarded by society to reach their maximum level of wellness,” Sieurin said.
