Wine Lovers May Say 'Je T'Aime' on Valentine's Day

Julio's Liquors holds a wine tasting Thursday.

A bottle of wine says “I love you” on Valentine’s Day, literally.

“Je T’Aime is one of the nicest wines, I think, for the holiday, just because it’s ‘I love,’” Julio’s Liquors Wine Director Abraham Lerner said Tuesday.

Valentine’s Day is the theme of the latest weekly wine tasting at Julio’s, at 140 Turnpike Road, from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Lerner said he will present about 10 wines, “a cross section” of the options.

“These events that we do are great ways for people to taste things that they might not normally do because they have to pay for an entire bottle.,” he said.

“And the price range we usually taste from is anywhere from $7 up to $150 a bottle.”

Besides Je T’Aime, Lerner recommends for Valentine’s Day a Rosa Regale Brachetto, “sparkling red wine” from the Brachetto D’Aqui region of Italy.”

“It’s got a little bit of sweetness to it, and is absolutely fantastic,” he said.

“A really nice presentation with the rose on the label.”
