Westborough IT Firm Secures $25M in Investments

SimpliVity anticipating rapid growth in 2013.

A Westborough information technology firm today announced $25 million in funding -- and anticipates rapid growth in 2013.

Leading SimpliVity Corp.'s new Series B funding is Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, joined by existing investors Accel Partners and Charles River Ventures, the high tech firm said in a press release.

SimpliVity's total funding now is at $43 million.

OmniCube, "the world’s first truly assimilated IT infrastructure platform," is SimpliVity's flagship product, the press release notes.

"Having recently launched OmniCube, SimpliVity will use the Series B proceeds to fuel its global go to market activities as it prepares for a rapid growth year in 2013," the statement says.
