During its annual convention last month, Arpin Van Lines honored prime agent . with the 2011 Humanitarian Award. The award is given each year to one of the company’s more than 300 agents in recognition of that agent’s community involvement and charitable work.

Joe Kransky, a sales manager with the company, said, “Giving back to the community has always been an important part of our business and we’re glad this award can help publicize all the great charities we work with each year.”

Among those charities are the National Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, the Arthritis Foundation, the United Way, the Joe Andruzzi Foundation and Hits for Kids, a nonprofit started by Boston Red Sox slugger Kevin Youklis.
