St. Mary's Credit Union to Host Ribbon Cutting Tuesday Night

Bank officials broke ground in December at routes 9 and 30, where Friendly's operated a restaurant before filing for bankruptcy in October 2011.

The opening of Westborough's newest bank will be celebrated on Tuesday night.

St. Mary's Credit Union's ribbon cutting ceremony is at 5 p.m. at 96 Turnpike Road, bank officials said Friday in a press release.

The festivities previously were announced for July 13.

Bank officials broke ground in December at routes 9 and 30, where Friendly's operated a restaurant before filing for bankruptcy in October 2011.

The roughly 3,000-square-foot branch "includes a drive-up service window, a drive-up ATM, a coin counting machine, a night deposit box and a distinctive tower that will serve as a landmark at the busy intersection of routes 9 and 30," bank officials have said.
