The board voted 2-0 on Tuesday night to grant the Maruyama Take Out Restaurant a variance.

A new sushi and burrito restaurant planned for the former Bistro site has received the Westborough Board of Health's support.

The board voted 2-0 on Tuesday night to grant the Maruyama Take Out Restaurant a variance after meeting with Jen Caso, representing the restaurant.

Maruyama will open at 72 East Main St., space that the Bistro, had rented space for more than 16 years.

Last month, the Bistro moved across the street to 57 East Main St., the Downtown Crossing space vacated by the Bangkok Thai Restaurant.
