Arizona Senior Health Care Firm Expanding to Westborough

ActiveRx's first New England active aging center will open in the Westborough Shopping Center in September.

An Arizona-based senior health care company plans to open its first New England active aging center in the Westborough Shopping Center in a few months.

ActiveRx Westborough will have a grand opening at 24 Lyman St., Suite 140, in September, with tours planned for August, the firm said in a press release Tuesday.

Regional Developer Paul Reilly plans to open 15 to 20 centers in Southern New England over the next three years, the press release noted. Reilly's territory covers Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.

“Our first center is ideally located to serve residents of a number of communities,” Reilly said in the release, “including Westborough, Southborough, Northborough, Hopkinton, Framingham, Upton, Grafton, Shrewsbury, Boylston and Marlborough.”

The nearest location is in Hinsdale, Ill., according to ActiveRx's website. The first center opened in 2008, in Scottsdale, Ariz.

On the website, ActiveRx describes itself as seeking "to become the worldwide leader in developing systems and providing services that redefine aging and healthcare as it exists today for mature adults."

"We cultivate true wellness and active aging through our innovative healthcare delivery system that is proven to combat the most prevalent causes of morbidity and functional decline in a way that is practical, supportive and authentic," the website says.
