Thanks To Westborough Earth Day Cleanup Team

Was pretty funny waking up early Saturday morning to a weather radar picture showing rain on the way to Westborough perfectly timed with the start of our 16th annual Earth Day trash cleanup. 

And, yes, we got fewer than half the number we've attracted lately to help cleanup the town. But those who showed, represented both by enthusiastic, strongly supportive businesses in town and Westborough's own highly motivated, terrifically kindred spirits, came out with the kind of truly dedicated, bright smiles  mere rain and cold temps could never tamp down. No way! You rocked, and so did our terrific DPW that tracked down loads of filled yellow or black trash bags.

On behalf of the WCLT (Westborough Community Land Trust), warm smiles and heartfelt thanks to everyone who came out to make a difference. All you have to do is see the sites we cleaned together versus those we just couldn't get to. "Night and day" difference doesn't do 'em justice!
