Line Dancing Fans to Get Kick Out of Arts in Common

The Country Kickers line dancing team returns for the third straight year.

A brief walk during Westborough's fourth annual Arts in Common will have twists and turns.

The Country Kickers line dance team will be moving on the Bay State Green gazebo to Rod Stewart's "Have You Ever Seen the Rain," member Mary Dragon says.

The number is one of two the team will perform during Arts in Common, set from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29 at Bay State Green. The Westborough Cultural Council, the town, and individuals and businesses sponsor the festivities.

The Country Kickers will perform, lead and teach line dances at the festival for the third straight year, Dragon says.

"I love the setting outdoors," she says.

"Usually, where the gazebo is is absolutely gorgeous."

The Kickers plan to perform two numbers. The second one will be "No Bones About It," to "I'm Your Dog," by the Love Dogs, Dragon says.

Then, Westborough seniors will join the team on stage for two numbers, says Dragon, who teaches at the Westborough Senior Center and Council on Aging.

Dragon and fellow Country Kicker Ronda Bertrand-Robbins will then teach two dances to "whoever wants to come up and learn a quick line dance."

Dragon says audience members will enjoy most about watching the Country Kickers that "we're all in synch."

"I know they really like the music," she says.
