Concurrent to the Opening this Sunday afternoon, iTink’s own photoshow, "¡Dominicanos!," a celebration of the Dominican people living in the Dominican Republic and the United States, is showing for the first time at the Westboro Gallery, 8 West Main St.

The gallery will be kept open on Sunday afternoon, so that everyone will be able to see both shows. Plans are underway for this show "¡Dominicanos!" to next travel to Santo Domingo.

This show consists of hundreds of images of Dominicans both in the Dominican Republic and in the Boston area, with a focus on a wide swath of everyday life including: families and relationships; work; leisure; tourism; and the famous Carnivals in Santiago and La Vega, generally considered the finest of the Dominican Carnivals. iTink has now traveled almost all of the Dominican Republic with friends and as a photographer for the Dominican Office of Tourism, from Santo Domingo to Samana to Perdinales
to Monte Cristi to Punta Cana and Isle Saone, all four corners of the nation. Any Dominicans who would like to be added to this array of images before it sails to Santo Domingo, so to speak, should ask iTink to arrange a photo session and add their images.
