The World War II veteran discussed his new book, "A Pact With the Devil: World War I Air Combat," at the Tatnuck Bookseller.

"This book describes the progress of aerial combat from 1914-1918. It contains biographies of famous pilots and airplanes of WWI. It also shows how the aviation industry grew and evolved. Finally, the author shows his personal connection through his father, who was a pilot in the 1930's."

Carr graduated from Worcester State University last year. The United States Marine and Marine Corps reservist served as grand marshal of Westborough's 2012 Veterans Day observance.
