The wintry mix expected Monday morning has put the ribbon cutting for Westborough's new weekday bus service on ice.

The Worcester Regional Transit Authority has cancelled the ceremony, scheduled for 7:30 a.m. Monday at the Westborough MBTA commuter rail station, spokesman Deborah Penta said in an e-mail Sunday night.

The ceremony has not been rescheduled yet, she said.

The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a winter weather advisory for 11 p.m. Sunday to 1 p.m. Monday.

Westborough was expected to get one to two inches of snow overnight, followed by a wintry mix Monday, and then all rain after 2 p.m., according to the agency's website.
