Own Part of Westborough Town Hall

Ever wondered how furniture at Westborough Town Hall might look in your den?

The chance to get that furniture arrives on Saturday, Jan. 4.

Westborough will hold a silent auction of items remaining at town hall, at 34 West Main St., from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 4 at the building, town officials said Monday in a press release.

Selectmen recently awarded the town hall renovation bid to RAC Builders Inc., which bid $5,394,700.

Those interested the auction items should bid by submitting their name, phone number and bid amount, according to the press release.

The highest bidders will be contacted by Monday, Jan. 6, and the winners must remove their items by 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8.

"Items must be paid for upon pick up with cash or checks made out to the Town of Westborough," the press release notes.

Also, "antique wooden folding chair sets will be sold for $5 per set and must be removed during the auction," town officials wrote.
