Community Corner

Are you a high school student looking to make an impact in your community?

Applications are available now for The Foundation for MetroWest’s Summer Institute for Youth Leadership, but apply early as spots are limited!  This two-day program is designed for high school students to learn about the importance of becoming actively involved in their own community, discover a keen awareness of their own potential, and develop the skills necessary to become successful leaders. Participants will learn how to evaluate local nonprofit organizations and work together to award a grant to the nonprofit of their choice. In addition to grantmaking and philanthropy education, guest speakers will attend each session to teach a variety of life skills, from creating a resume to balancing a checkbook, and learning to work effectively as a team.
