Step Up to the Mic

Here are five pieces of information to help fuel your day in Westborough.

It's Thursday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Westborough to help make your day a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1.  Step up to the mic.

A literary arts open mic night will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Tatnuck Bookseller's Event Room.

2. Hear stories.

A two-time storytime for ages two and three will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Westborough Public Library.

3. Attend the advisory finance committee meeting.


The meetings is at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Forbes Municipal Building.

4. Root for the Rangers.

  • Varsity alpine skiing: vs. TBA, at League Meet, at Ski Ward Hill, 3:30 p.m.
  • Freshman girls basketball: vs. Holy Name, 4 p.m.
  • Varsity boys indoor track: vs. Hudson, at Shrewsbury, 4 p.m.
  • Varsity girls indoor track: vs. Hudson, at Shrewsbury, 4 p.m.
  • Varsity swimming/diving: vs. Tyngsborough, at Greater Lowell Voc/Tech, 5:30 p.m.

5. In case you missed it: State rep running for re-election.

State Rep. Danielle Gregoire will seek a second straight two-year term, to “largely finish a lot of what we’ve started this term.”
