Step Up to the Mic

Here are five pieces of information to help fuel your day in Westborough.

It's Thursday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Westborough to help make your day a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. Catch a concert.

A bands concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Westborough High School.

2. Support the Armstrong Elementary School.

The Armstrong Elementary School Parent Group meets at 7 p.m. Thursday.

3. Step up to the mic.

The Tatnuck Bookseller holds a literary open mic night from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

4. Root for the Rangers.

Here is Thursday's Westborough High School and Gibbons Middle School sports schedule:

  • Varsity alpine skiing: vs. TBA, at Ski Ward Hill, 3:30 p.m.
  • Varsity swimming/diving: vs. Worcester, at Worcester Boys and Girls Club, 3:30 p.m.
  • Gibbons boys basketball: vs. Florence Sawyer, 3:45 p.m.
  • Gibbons girls basketball: vs. Florence Sawyer, 4:45 p.m.
  • Varsity boys indoor track: vs. Quabbin, at Shrewsbury, 5 p.m.
  • Varsity boys indoor track: vs. Quabbin, at Shrewsbury, 5 p.m.
  • Varsity gymnastics: vs. Algonquin, at Mass. Gymnastics Academy Center, 7:30 p.m.

5.  In case you missed it: Noticed the Hair Fair recently?

The beauty salon moved to 8 West Main St. in mid-November, ending eight years on Summer Street, owner Lisa Arcieri said Tuesday.
