School Board to Hear Budget Recommendations

It's Wednesday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Westborough to help make your day a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. Attend the Westborough School Committee meeting.

The board meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Forbes Municipal Building. School Superintendent Marianne O'Connor is scheduled to make her fiscal 2015 budget recommendations.

2. Learn about Medicare.

A seminar on 2014 Medicare options will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Boston-Westborough, 5400 Computer Drive.

3. In case you missed it: Westborough Police alert residents to a scam.

An alleged Microsoft tech support team member has called Westborough residents and claimed to detect a virus on their computers, Westborough Police said Tuesday.

4. Attend the Westborough Garden Club's holiday program.

The club presents "Holiday on Parade: The North Meets the South" at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Mill Pond School. Admission is $7.

5. Attend a story time.

Attend a storytime with Mark Perry, author of "'Post Mark' Santa's Misfit Postman," from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Tatnuck Bookseller.
