Donate Blood at the Senior Center

Here are five pieces of information to help fuel your day in Westborough.

It's Friday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Westborough to help make your day a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. Give blood today.

An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Westborough Senior Center, 4 Rogers Road. To schedule an appointment to donate, call 1-800-redcross or visit redcrossblood.org.

2. Audition for a show.

The Westborough Players' Club continues auditions for "Children of Eden" at 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Harvey Building.

3. Not Your Average Joe's has a dinner special.

It is local line-caught swordfish.

4. Westborough High's May AP exam scores were strong.

Assistant School Superintendent Dr. Daniel Mayer discussed them with the school committee Wednesday night. 

5. Root for the Rangers.

Here is Friday's Westborough High School sports schedule:

  • Golf: at St. John's, at Kettlebrook Golf Club, 3:30 p.m.
  • Varsity field hockey: at Hudson, 4 p.m.
  • Freshman field hockey: vs. Notre Dame Academy of Worcester, 4 p.m., WHS baseball field
  • JV volleyball: vs, Minnechaug Regional, 4 p.m.
  • Varsity volleyball: vs, Minnechaug Regional, 5:15 p.m.
  • JV field hockey: at Hudson, 5:30 p.m.
  • Varsity football: at Hudson, 7 p.m.
