Attend the Westborough School Committee Meeting

Here are five pieces of information to help fuel your day in Westborough.

It's Wednesday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Westborough to help make your day a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. The Westborough School Committee meets Wednesday night.

The meeting is at 6 p.m. in the Forbes Municipal Building. The board is scheduled to vote on adopting a school budget for next year.

2.  Root for the Rangers.

Here is Wednesday's Westborough High School and Gibbons Middle School sports schedule:

  • Gibbons Middle School girls basketball: vs. Sherwood Middle School of Shrewsbury, 3:45 p.m.
  • Freshman girls basketball: vs. Leominster, 4 p.m.
  • Gibbons Middle School boys basketball: vs. Sherwood Middle School of Shrewsbury, 4:45 p.m.
  • Varsity swimming and diving: vs. Wachusett, at Clark University pool, 4 p.m.
  • Varsity ice hockey: vs. Wachusett, at NorthStar Ice Sports, 6:15 p.m.
3. A Westborough reserve police officer has joined the Northborough Police.

Northborough selectmen voted Monday night to appoint Michael Prizio as a Northborough police officer, effective Jan. 1, 2014. Prizio has been a Westborough reserve officer since May.

4. Support the Mill Pond Parent Group

It meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
