Volunteer For a Town Board

Here are five pieces of information to help fuel your day in Westborough.

It's Wednesday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Westborough to help make your day a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. The charter review committee has a new member.

Tuesday night, selectmen appointed Michael Wilsker as the committee's third citizen-at-large member.

2. Attend the Westborough Thanksgiving Eve service.

The Westborough Interfaith Thanksgiving Eve Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Luke the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 70 West Main St. Members of the Westborough clergy are expected to speak.

3. In case you missed it: the new Westborough shuttle service schedule is out.

Starting next Monday, Dec. 2, the shuttle will serve the Westborough MBTA commuter rail station; the Computer Drive and Research Drive office parks; the Westborough Senior Center; the Bay State Commons shopping center; the Westborough Public Library; the Westborough town offices; and Westborough High School, according to the schedule, which the Central Mass. Regional Planning Commission provided to Westborough Patch.

4. Volunteer for a town board.

These committees have vacancies, according to selectmen:

  • 300th Anniversary Committee: nine members
  • Charter Review Committee: one member
  • Conservation Commission: one non-voting associate member
  • Historical Commission: one member and two non-voting associate members
  • Housing Partnership Committee: one member
  • Open Space Preservation Committee: one non-voting associate member
  • Taxation Aid Committee: three members
  • Water Resource Review Committee: seven members
