It's Wednesday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Westborough to help make your day a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. Support soldiers, their families, and local veterans: catch WHS football on Saturday.

The 3rd Annual Touchdown For America football game is at 2 p.m. Saturday at Westborough High School, when the Rangers will host Groton-Dunstable.

The effort will collect toiletries and the like to send to soldiers serving overseas, and for care packages for wounded soldiers returning through Fort Belvoir, says WHS senior Max Silverman, who organized the fundraiser.

Admission is free for current and retired soldiers, and their families, who will be honored during the first and second quarters.

2. Enjoy a Halloween festival.

The YWCA's 2nd Annual Halloween Costume Fun Walk and Fall Festival is at 4 p.m.

3. Attend a Halloween party.

The Westborough Recreation Department's 36th Annual Children's Halloween Party is from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Gibbons Middle School.  The event is for Kindergarten to grade four. Admission is free, but a donation to the Westborough Food Pantry is requested.
