Before I continue my posts from my train trip across the US, I wanted to take the opportunity to dedicate a post to apologizing to my readers for the three week (or so) hiatus in postings.
When I last left you, I was experiencing Seattle for the first time. Since then, I traveled back through Oregon, down to Sacramento, across Nevada, spent almost a week in Utah, went back to Chicago, and eventually made my way back to Massachusetts.
Unfortunately, during this time, outside of occasional (limited) access on my phone, I did not have access to the Internet. After coming back to Massachusetts on Aug. 7, I was at a conference in Williamstown, MA (with limited Internet and cell coverage), and away for a few days, and did not regain full access to the Internet until yesterday.
Although I was able to write most of my thoughts as they happen and save them on Microsoft Word, I did not have time to put them together in blog form until now. I hope that you can pick up where we last left off, and continue with me on my fascinating trip across the USA. Also, maybe my experiences will inspire a few of us to write to Amtrak and ask them to consider putting wireless on more of their train routes!

Nope! Just stuck without solid internet access for extended periods of time!
