Window Cleaner Arrested for Thefts

An Uxbridge man reportedly stole from two residences.

On May 15, at approximately 10 a.m., the responded to a residence on Glen Street for a reported larceny of diamond earrings. The victim reported that she had a window cleaning company out of Hopedale cleaning her windows the day before.

On June 27, at approximately 9:27 a.m., the Westborough Police responded to Denfeld Drive for a reported larceny of two expensive rings. The investigators were able to determine that the victim had also hired the same window cleaning company to clean their windows.

Det. Sgt. Glen McLeod and Det. Gary Hassett interviewed Glenn Cummings, 24, of 133 Hecla St., Uxbridge. He was present at both residences doing the window cleaning. The investigation led the detectives to The Gold Loan Company in Woonsocket, R.I., and Elie Jewelers in North Attleboro. All of the stolen items were recovered.

Cummings is being charged with two counts of larceny over $250. He will be arraigned in WDC at a later date.
