Westborough High School graduate and current Miss Massachusetts Natalie Pietrzak is preparing for the 61st annual Miss USA Competition. The pageant takes place at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on June 3. This year’s pageant will air live on from 9 to 11 p.m. on NBC.

For more than two weeks leading up to the competition, Pietrzak will join delegates from each of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia to prepare for the live broadcast.

As part of the event, fans are asked to vote to get their favorite contestant into the semifinals at the Miss USA 2012 Competition. Voting opened May 1 and will continue through June 2. The contestant who receives the most votes will earn a place in the semifinal.
