Westborough House Break and Vandalism Suspect Arraigned
Oct. 5 pre-trial hearing set.
A Westborough man was arraigned Wednesday in connection with an early Tuesday morning housebreak and vehicle vandalism here.
Lucas B. Houghton, 21, of 4 Jacob Amsden Road, now faces an Oct. 5 pre-trial hearing in Westborough District Court.
Houghton was arraigned Wednesday on the following charges: breaking and entering into a building at nighttime for a felony, breaking and entering into a vehicle/boat at nighttime for felony, receiving stolen property over $250, and two counts of malicious destruction of property over $250.
Houghton was released on personal recognizance and ordered to stay away from and have no contact with the victims.
Westborough Police arrested Houghton and a 15-year-old Westborough male early Tuesday in connection with an Orchard Hill Drive housebreak and the spraypainting of "666" in gold on two vehicles at an Adams Street home. The break-in was reported at 1:35 a.m. and the vandalism at 5 a.m.
The teenager, whom police are not identifying due to his age, faces arraignment in Worcester Juvenile Court.
Meanwhile, Houghton also faces a Sept. 6 arraignment and Oct. 5 pre-trial hearing on a possession of marijuana charge. Westborough Police arrested him June 4.
