Two Vehicles Reported Stolen From Westborough Home Recovered

Two 16 year olds, one from Westborough, will be arraigned, police say.

Two vehicles reported stolen from the same Westborough home over five days were recovered after a traffic stop early this morning, shortly after the second theft.

Two 16 year olds now will face charges in Worcester Juvenile Court, police said in a press release. Police said one suspect is from Westborough and the other is from Millbury. Police are not identifying the suspects due to their age. Police released them to their parents.

A 2011 Hyundai Elantra was reported stolen from a Thomas Newton Drive residence on Aug. 4, police said.

At 12:20 this morning, the resident reported a 2005 Honda Pilot was stolen.

Police said Officer Caleb Polseno then saw the Honda Pilot at East Main Street at Thomas Newton. Polseno and Officer Joshua Croft then placed the two suspects in custody.

Polseno found the key to the Hyundai Elantra in the Westborough teenager's pocket, police said. Police also reported that three stolen GPS devices and alcoholic beverages were in that car.

Both teenagers will be arraigned on two counts of using a motor vehicle without authority, two counts of receiving stolen property under $250, and one count each of receiving stolen property over $250 and being a minor in possession of alcoholic beverages, police said.

The Westborough youth will be arraigned on one count of operating a motor vehicle without a license, police said.
