Two Suspected in Westborough House Vandalism
Police continue investigating the incident.
Two residents charged in a house break and vandalism Tuesday are suspects in the spraypainting of a Westborough house Wednesday, Police Chief Alan Gordon says.
Neither person has been charged in the latest incident, in which "666" was spraypainted in gold on an Appleseed Drive home, Gordon said Thursday. The incident is under investigation, he said.
The residents reported the incident to police at 7:53 p.m. Wednesday after seeing the damage upon returning home, he said.
Early Tuesday, police arrested and charged Lucas B. Houghton, 21, of 4 Jacob Amsden Road, and a 15-year-old Westborough male in connection with an Orchard Hill Drive housebreak and the spraypainting of "666" in gold on two vehicles at an Adams Street home. The break-in was reported at 1:35 a.m. and the vandalism at 5 a.m.
Houghton was arraigned Wednesday in Westborough District Court on the following charges: breaking and entering into a building at nighttime for a felony, breaking and entering into a vehicle/boat at nighttime for felony, receiving stolen property over $250, and two counts of malicious destruction of property over $250.
Houghton was released on personal recognizance and ordered to stay away from and have no contact with the victims.
The teenager, whom police are not identifying due to his age, faces arraignment in Worcester Juvenile Court.
