Snow Parking Ban Implemented

Westborough issues a snow emergency.

Westborough officials have issued a snow emergency, banning on-street parking from 1 this afternoon to 6 a.m. Saturday, Police Chief Alan Gordon said.

"Violators will be tagged and towed for impeding snow removal," Gordon said in a press release.

The National Weather Service in Taunton, meanwhile, now says Westborough could get 18 to 24 inches of snow from this storm, about twice the earlier forecast.

The agency has extended its winter storm warning to 7 tonight. The warning was to expire at 1 p.m.

Wow! They really screwed this one up!! I can't BELEIVE Deval didn't call a state of emergency today!! This was AT LEAST as bad a storm as the "Blizzerd of 2013" a few weeks ago. The roads are FINALLY getting back to normal but this snow was terrible, TERRIBLE driving in this morning!
