Rollover on Westborough's Route 9 Seriously Injures Framingham Man
The crash occurred early Sunday.
A 21-year-old Framingham man was ejected from his car and seriously injured after an early-morning rollover crash Sunday on Route 9 at Bellows Road in Westborough.
The driver was headed east on Route 9 when the 2007 Nissan vehicle "went straight, went off the roadway and struck a hydrant," according to the Westborough Police investigation, police said in a press release today.
"The vehicle then rolled over several times. The operator was not wearing his
seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle."
Bellows Road curves slightly, police noted.
The crash happened at about 3:57 a.m.
Police said they found the driver "on the ground outside the vehicle," which had "extensive damage."
Westborough paramedics treated the driver for life-threatening injuries and then transported him to the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, police said.
Police said they are withholding the driver's name pending his parents' arrival from Egypt.
Officer Cliff Luce is investigating the crash.
