UPDATED: Investigation of Possible Abduction Attempt Continues

Westborough Police Chief Alan Gordon reported that two men approached a Mill Pond School student.

UPDATE: Thursday, Jan. 19, 11:30 a.m. Westborough Police Alan Chief Gordon tells Patch that police continue to investigate the report of a possible abduction, but have no new information to provide. 

UPDATE, Wednesday, Jan. 18, 6:30 p.m.: This article has been updated to correct the location of the possible abduction attempt. According to the latest email from Westborough Police Chief Gordon, the girl was approached on School Street.

Wednesday, Jan. 18, 6:15 p.m. - Chief Alan Gordon reported this afternoon that a possible abduction attempt was made on School Street. According to an email statement from Gordon, a female student of Mill Pond School reported that two men in a white pickup truck tried to entice her into the truck. There was no force used and the girl was able to walk away, he said.

Detectives are working with the girl to get a description of the men. Details are limited at this time. Gordon was not available for comment when contacted by Westborough Patch.
